I grew up in Auburn, Alabama, graduated from Auburn High School, went to the University of Georgia, hated it, and transferred to Auburn University. I majored in Journalism, minored in Spanish and Business, and met Best Friend who would become Trusty Husband 11 years later. I graduated, moved to Birmingham, worked for a variety of organizations, bought a house, sold a house, bought another house, got into decorating, shoes, gardening and playing the guitar, and started dating Best Friend. I adopted a dog, went to Spain and Ireland, got a job in Auburn and got engaged to Best Friend. I started this blog, got married, and that pretty much brings us up to the present.
