Clean Your Coffee Pot

If you're an at-home coffee drinker, and especially if you like dark coffee like Yours Truly, your coffee caraffe has probably turned kind of dingy:

That's gross, and it turned that brown after only about a month of use. It looks dirty even when it's clean, and soap won't get it out. So, mix some baking soda and a little water to form a paste and use a paper towel to scrub the stains:

You'll be surprised at all the coffee gunk that'll come out:

Now you've got a clean coffee pot! It's not life-changing, but you know - life's all about the small victories.

  3. Here's an even better tip! Think about how dirty the carafe is. Now think about all the tubes and stuff on the inside of the coffee pot that you can't clean. Just run a pot full of water and vinegar and it will clean it out. It will clean the carafe too. After you do the water and vinegar cycle, do at least 2 more pots of just water to make sure all the vinegar is gone.

    Happy coffeeing!!
